Thermoplastic Materials

At Polo Custom Products, we work closely with large OEM companies to custom manufacture products using the right raw materials for every project. One key category of materials we often use is thermoplastics—materials that become pliable when heated, allowing for easy shaping and reshaping without undergoing chemical changes. These versatile materials are essential in many industries, including packaging, medical devices, aerospace, power sports and consumer recreational goods, offering an array of benefits such as durability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.

We offer a wide variety of thermoplastic materials, each tailored to meet specific project needs. For example, ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a strong, impact-resistant plastic that we frequently use in protective carrying cases or even power sports products. ABS Flame Retardant is a modified version that enhances fire resistance, making it perfect for applications in areas where safety is a primary concern. This is a common material used in our fire & safety industry.

Another material Polo offers is Acetal, known for its high strength, stiffness, and low friction properties. This makes it ideal for precision parts, such as zippers, or surgical instrument, used in industries like Aviation, Government & Defense and Medical. Acetal with Glass Fill offers enhanced strength and rigidity, making it suitable for high-stress applications.

For products requiring flexibility and durability, we often use Nylon 6/6 and Nylon with Glass Fill. Nylon 6/6 is a highly versatile material used in everything from textiles to tennis strings. When reinforced with glass fibers, it offers superior strength and heat resistance, ideal for more demanding projects.

Polo also offers a variety of other thermoplastic materials, including Polycarbonate (which stands out for its impact resistance), PET-G (which is used in many medical and pharmaceutical applications), and Polypropylene (PP), known for its resistance to corrosion and wear. Silicone, used in applications ranging from medical devices to seals, is another versatile option in our portfolio, valued for its flexibility and resistance to high temperatures.

By understanding the unique properties of each thermoplastic, Polo Custom Products ensures that our customers receive the right materials for their specific project needs. Once we determine the correct materials for the project, we can begin developing a bullet proof manufacturing plan to get your product to market faster.
